Guest Experience
Staffing, purchasing, training, recovery, atmosphere, private events and community presence shape one experience. Apply established operating practices with clear ownership so the team can execute confidently and consistently.

Rewriting the Economics of Hospitality
Financial pressure is an industry-wide challenge. In the National Restaurant Association’s July 2026 update, 33% of operators reported that their restaurant was not profitable during the first half of 2026. Its full-year report found that 42% were not profitable in 2025. In hotels, AHLA’s 2026 report identified rising operating expenses as a primary reason gross operating profit per available room remained at roughly 90% of 2019 levels.
Polish + Pour is rewriting how restaurants and hotel food-and-beverage operations order, price, sell and protect profit. We connect detailed purchasing and spending practices with disciplined inventory, ingredient yield, recipe costing, menu composition and informed sales. Every decision must serve the property’s identity, the guest’s experience and the business’s ability to sustain both.
We study where money is committed, where value is lost and where imagination can create a stronger return. We educate the people responsible, implement property-specific systems and nurture their continued execution. The purpose is lasting financial strength: more considered ordering, purposeful pricing, compelling offerings and profit that supports people, reinvestment and long-term growth.

01Openings & Operational Systems
- Opening Planning & Execution: Unite service direction, beverage composition, proprietary training, culture and education systems with opening-day logistics and contingency planning. Every consulted property received a complete beverage program, fully created training and education programs, and full culture and service implementation. Remodel leadership and aesthetic direction were additional work at the properties where they applied.
- Financial Stewardship: Build P&L, costing, purchasing, ordering and inventory practices that give management a clear view of the business and its decisions.
- Rebrand Implementation: Carry a renewed identity through menus, service, training and operating requirements, making the change tangible throughout the experience.
- Remodel Leadership & Aesthetic Direction: Lead property remodels and aesthetic direction, connecting visual identity and functional layout with service needs. Experience includes The Perfect Landing, Larimer Beer Hall, VIN39 Wine Bar and Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center.
- POS Programming: Review or program routing, modifications, menus and submenus so the system supports accurate orders and a composed service.
- Sales Analysis: Read product mix and menu performance to refine pricing, assortment, purchasing and the direction of future offerings.
02Guest Experience & Atmosphere
- Guest Preferences & Personalization: Listen to guests’ lives, interests and occasions; read body language and visual cues to recognize unspoken needs. Combine that understanding with preferences and prior visits to create personal gestures and moments worth remembering.
- Guest Retention: Identify market-specific opportunities to deepen guest loyalty, develop clientele and strengthen the property’s local presence.
- Interior Design & Atmosphere: Coordinate taste, aroma, light, music, sound levels, temperature and tactile quality with functional layouts that support guest comfort, connection and efficient service.
- Service Presentation: Align uniforms, grooming and personal presentation with the property’s identity and standards.
03Private Events & Buyouts
- Private Events & Full-Property Buyouts: Develop celebrations, private dining, corporate gatherings and full-property experiences around the host’s purpose, guest count, property identity and practical operating capacity.
- Scope, Pricing & Budget Stewardship: Define the event scope, food and beverage selections, staffing needs, preparation, equipment and agreed fees before execution. Shape packages and purchasing around a clearly constrained budget, with changes discussed before additional spending.
- Menus & Beverage Artistry: Coordinate culinary direction, original cocktails, wine, sophisticated nonalcoholic choices and presentation with the occasion. Account for dietary needs, timing, production demands and the team’s ability to deliver consistently.
- Planning, Documentation & Rehearsal: Build the banquet event order, room layout, guest flow, event timeline and clear ownership of each responsibility. Rehearse arrivals, pacing, speeches, transitions and contingencies so the experience feels composed rather than improvised.
- People, Partners & Property Coordination: Align the host, property team, vendors and other event partners around one working plan. Connect event preparation with the restaurant or hotel’s ongoing operation, protecting the experience of both private-event and regular guests.
- Charity & Nonprofit Events: Support fundraising dinners, benefit receptions, giveback events and community partnerships with the same care as a private celebration. Understand the organization’s mission, the people it serves and the purpose of the gathering before shaping the experience.
- Donors, Sponsors & Meaningful Recognition: Coordinate guest and donor preferences, sponsor acknowledgments, speaking moments and any auction or pledge activities included by the organizer. Make recognition thoughtful and accurate while keeping attention on the cause and the people involved.
- Financial Discipline & Responsible Generosity: Plan donated products, vendor support, contribution commitments and event costs transparently with the organizer. Keep a clear record of what the property is providing, what the event requires and how the agreed budget supports its purpose.
- Execution, Recovery & Continued Support: Lead preparation and live coordination with clear communication and a practiced recovery plan. Review the event with the host and team, document what should carry forward, and remain available to support the next occasion.

04Community Connection & Local Presence
- Local Industry Relationships: Develop chamber of commerce, hospitality and restaurant association relationships alongside area-specific clientele outreach.
- Community Partnerships: Shape nonprofit partnerships, charitable donations, giveback programs and community events that reflect the property’s identity.
05Visual Identity & Social Presence
- Photography & Visual Content: Photography, color, presentation, social media and marketing are core capabilities. They make a property’s identity visible, bring its offerings to life and give people a clear reason to pay attention. The finished experience must deliver on that presentation. A supported, educated and confident team makes the standard repeatable.
- Content Planning: Plan content and social campaigns around the property’s priorities, occasions and seasonal rhythm.
- Community & Brand Partnerships: Develop cost-conscious influencer outreach and partnerships that fit the concept, audience and desired public presence.
06Project Scope & Delivery
- Define the Engagement: Establish priorities, deliverables and implementation needs. Keep decisions, information and purchasing organized and accessible, with a clear paper trail.
- Client Tools & Documentation: Hand over editable Word and Excel training, recipe and operating tools for the team to keep, use and adapt. Teach their application and maintain long-term, continued communication through check-ins and updates.
Scope & Pricing Reflect Actual Needs & Affordability.
